The IonSpec 9.4T Fourier transform ion cyclotron mass spectrometer (FT-ICR MS) is equipped with an Advion Nanomate chip-based nano-electrospray ionization source and a carbon dioxide laser for performing infrared multiphoton dissociation experiments. This instrument is used in the study milk bioactives, namely lipids, glycoproteins, glycopeptides, and carbohydrates.
